POVERTY IN INDIA
India is a developing country though it faces many problems. One of the crucial problems is poverty. Even after more than fifty years of independence, India still has the world’s largest number of poor people. Nearly 38% of the India’s population is poor. The reason for facing this kind of problem is money. The people of poor are not getting their own needs and food too. The main causes of poverty are
The growth of population
There are many other reasons for being poor is that the people are mentally fixed with some ideas like to earn money for him and his upcoming family not considering others , some people will like ideal and lazy to work these people are the one who does not willing to work and to raise their standard in society.
Population is another cause for the poverty. India stood second in world’s highest populating country in the world.
At first, the people are demonstrated by caste system like higher class and lower classes. This cause the people to be in low level, there is inequality and become the major reason for poverty.
Next is Agriculture, India is the country that has large agricultural area about 160millon hectare. But now the cultivating land is reduced by the half due to the climatic condition and the problem of poverty. The poverty plays an important role as the farmer not getting the profit
Corruption plays a major role, here the concept of richer becomes rich and poor becomes poor suits well her.
The effect of poverty brings the farmers to suicide, child labour and other problems against the people.
